Our Heart & Mission
Big Hearts 4 Small Paws was founded with one simple belief: every cat deserves the chance to feel safe, cared for, and loved.
Since opening in 2022, we have worked alongside our dedicated volunteer foster carers, veterinary professionals and supporters across West Sussex and further afield, to give abandoned, surrendered and vulnerable cats the fresh start they deserve.
Every cat that comes into our care is treated as an individual, we take the time to understand their needs, personalities and favourite toys, before they begin the next chapter of their lives.
We know that rescue is about far more than simply finding a home. It is about rebuilding confidence, providing medical care where needed, and ensuring every adoption is the right match for both the cat and the family welcoming them.
Whilst based in Crawley, West Sussex we have successfully homed cats up and down the country, with our furthest (so far) being Manchester. So if you are interested in adopting any of our cats don't let location put you off, if we can facilitate it we will!
Our Heartfelt Journey
Behind every successful adoption is a team of volunteers giving their time because they genuinely care. From answering late-night messages and transporting cats to vet appointments, to cleaning, fundraising, home checking and fostering, every contribution helps change a life.
As an independent rescue, our work is made possible entirely through the generosity of our community. Every adoption, donation, share and volunteer hour helps us continue providing a lifeline to cats who have nowhere else to turn.
