Elara

Elara came into our care from a colony on 11th May, just a couple of days after her brothers, Ronnie and Reggie, who have both since found their homes.

While Ronnie and Reggie have been able to move on, Elara has needed much more time to learn that people can be kind and that she doesn’t need to be afraid. She is still understandably cautious and isn’t yet a lap cat. At the moment, she will accept short, gentle strokes down her back, although she isn’t ready for handling around her head just yet.

​

Elara will need a patient and understanding home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace, without pressure. We feel she would benefit greatly from living with at least one other confident, friendly cat, who can help show her that home is a safe and happy place.

With time, patience and the right feline companion, we hope Elara will continue to blossom and discover how lovely life with people can be.
